Summer Rebellion Ultra Marathon - ROUTE

The route for the Summer Rebellion Ultra Marathon goes along the full length of Glyndwr's Way National Trail with a total ascent of just over 25,000ft (7700m).

The loops around Mid Wales and goes through farmland, forest, villages, towns. Because of this the countryside code must be followed at all times. You must make sure you leave the gates as you find them during the race.

The Summer Rebellion Ultra Marathon starts in Knighton on the 17th of May 2019. It then visits Llanbadarn Fynydd, Llanidloes then to Machynlleth. The secons half then heads to Llanwddyn (Lake Vyrnwy) and then finishes in Welshpool

Route Signs

As the Glyndwr's Way is a National Trail the route is well marked with wood posts etc. However there are a few places where the signs maybe missing or maybe hidden by overgrown trees and bushes, so atheltes must expect to do some navigation from time to time.

Countryside Code

The countryside code must be followed while you are on the race. You are responsible for the opening and closing of gates during the race.

Below is a map of the route. You can zoom and pan the map to see it in more detail.
