Fancy a challenge? Deglathon is for you. Deglathon is a trail duathlon meaning the run and bike routes are all off road. The event is based in Llandegla Forest and uses the forest bespoke Mountain Bike and Trail Running routes. The format of the duathlon is a run, then a bike, then another run.
The first run route, which is 9km long, takes you to across the bottom end of the forest and uses most of the permanent red trail running route. It has a total ascent of 210 metres.
The bike section uses the purpose built 20km red Mountain Bike route and takes you to all corners of the forest with some exciting downhills and some good climbs. It has a total ascent of 173 metres.
Last and least is the second run route, which is 8km long, uses part of the route we use for our 10km and Half Marathon races at Llandegla. It has a total ascent of 280 metres.
The event is open to solo and relay teams consisting of 2 people. One to do the running, one to do the biking.
