The route for the Snowdonia Slate Trail Ultra follows the Slate Trail footpath with a total ascent of almost 17,000ft (5200m).
The route runs aournd Snowdonia and as takes you through some farmland, forest, villages and mountains. As such the countryside code must be followed at all times. You are responsible for the opening and closing of gates during the race.
The Ultra Marathon starts and finishes in Bangor on the North Wales coast
The entire route is marked with wood posts etc., the signage is good in most places but sometimes these can be missing and in many places theres no warn path, so competitors must be able to and expect to navigate.
The route of the race goes through farm land, farms, private forests and private estates. As such the countryside code must be followed at all times. You are responsible for the opening and closing of gates during the race.
