The route for the Rebellion Ultra Marathon follows the full length of Glyndŵr's Way National Trail with a total ascent of just over 25,000ft (7700m).
The route tours Mid Wales as takes you through farmland, forest, villages, towns. As such the countryside code must be followed at all times. You are responsible for the opening and closing of gates during the race.
The Ultra Marathon starts in Knighton on the 1st of November 2019. The route then goes through Llanbadarn Fynydd to Llanidloes then to Machynlleth and on to Llanwddyn (Lake Vyrnwy) and finally finishing in Welshpool
As a National Trail the entire route is well marked with wood posts etc. However there are a few places where the signs are missing or maybe hidden, so competitors must expect to do some navigation at times.
