Crogen Trail Run Likes it Hot

Crogen Trail Run Likes it Hot

The third race and the half way point of the 2016 series started with a rainy and cloudy day. Which was in contrast to the week leading up to the race. At one point, early in the morning, it looked like it was going to be a wet and dreary day but as with previous races the weather changed just at the right time and it turned hot. Close to a hundred people took part in the second race of the season at Crogen Estate, Llandrillo on Sunday the 8th May 2016.

There where three races on the day. A 14km & 25km race plus our first Canicross race of 2016.

The weather provided an amazing backdrop to the stunning panoramic views on display around the estate.
Some comments from the runners and spectators where - "Fantastic route, loved it!", "A lovely atmosphere" and "..the best race I've ever done!"

The 25km Race started at 10:30am and was won by Scott Butterworth in a time of 01:55:28 and by Katie Georgeson in a time of 2:32:47.
The 14km Race started at 11am and was won by Jamie Maddison in a time of 1:03:50 and by Emma Lynch in a time of 1:31:01.
The Canicross Race started at 11:30am and was won by Kim Mazzucca in a time of 1:05:49
